Enjoy Nature’s Bounty

Millstream Cottage is a lovingly restored summer kitchen built in 1818 on the property of Sampsell’s flour and grist mill. A quiet retreat for the naturalist, the outdoor sports enthusiast or for taking a relaxing overnight break on your road trip, we are located in Central Pennsylvania in the shade of Jack’s Mountain on Penns Creek.

Start your morning off with complimentary coffee, tea, and breakfast breads. Sip your coffee by the herb and flower garden or while strolling amidst the wild flowers on the millrace path and perhaps catch a glimpse the abundant wildlife. Eagles, songbirds, osprey, heron, and deer are part of the show. Later in the day you might choose hiking on the trails of Jacks Mountain or kayaking, biking or fishing on Penns Creek. And you are only a stone’s throw away from the restored Sampsell’s Mill home of Penns Creek Pottery where potter Bill Lynch has created beautiful stoneware for thirty four years. Relax, take a breath, watch the waters of Penns Creek flow by and marvel at award winning pottery.

Millstream Cottage offers many ways to enjoy nature’s bounty.
